Sell the Rupture and buy a combat frigate - like a Rifter.

An expensive cruiser is not something you want to learn combat skills in - there will be a lot of crying on your part when it gets wasted.

Try tactices, weapons and ammo combos, and loadouts on something that's relatively cheap, that you can afford to get damaged or destroyed.

Yes, cruiser tactics are different to frigate tactics. However, you mention you have done no combat so far, just mining - you need to learn the basics.

For instance:
- how do the different pirate types in your region engage you?
- what is the best strategy to take out each of the different types of NPC you encounter?
- how do you deal with damage, with being swamping by respawns, with greater numbers, etc. etc.

If you go wading in with a Rupture, you will die - and that's a lot of ship to gamble. Merely having a big ship is no longer enough.

Cheers,
TOM
